Welcome! Thanks for joining me on an unique photo safari into the wilds of Eastern and Southern Africa. "Safari" is the Swahili word for journey, and historically referred to an East African hunting expedition. Today it applies more to the many camera-toting tourists on whistle-stop tours of the parks and reserves, and not just in Africa! But very few tourists are able to spend hours or days with a particular subject like a professional photographer is able to! So forget the mosquito head-nets, yellow fever vaccinations and bribes for enterprising immigration officials as we share some of my images from 10 African safaris over the last 20 years.
